Our Journey as DoodlePress Expands into the Japan Market
Topic: Business | 3 min read
DoodlePress is not approaching Japan as a new or untested market. We have already delivered multiple projects for Japanese companies, including three major ongoing projects with a Japan-based client and a previous engagement in Niseko. Through these experiences, we have gained a clear understanding of how Japanese businesses operate, how decisions are made, and what level of quality and reliability is expected.
What we are doing now is not market entry, but market expansion. Our goal is to scale our presence in Japan in a structured, long-term way and build a steady pipeline of Japanese clients who see DoodlePress as a trusted digital partner.
Every successful expansion starts with a deeper understanding of the market. Even with existing Japanese clients, we believe sustainable growth must be guided by data rather than assumptions. We are investing in research to better understand how Japanese companies search for web and software partners, how competitors position themselves, and what kinds of websites and messaging convert visitors into real inquiries. This research is being validated with the help of partners and advisors who understand the Japanese market from the inside.
Based on this research, we are building a dedicated Japanese-language website under a .jp domain. This site will not be a translated version of our global website. It will be a fully localized platform, written in professional Japanese and designed according to Japanese UX and business standards. In Japan, a website is often the first and most important trust signal. A properly localized site communicates that a company is serious about the market, not just testing it.
Once the .jp website is live, we will activate a Japan-focused SEO strategy. Organic search is one of the most powerful ways Japanese companies discover service providers, especially for B2B services. By optimizing our site for Japanese keywords and search behavior, we aim to build a long-term flow of qualified inquiries rather than relying only on outbound sales or introductions. We will continuously track performance and refine our content based on how real Japanese users interact with the site.
One of our strongest advantages is that we already have real Japanese client work. Our three major ongoing projects and our Niseko engagement are not just revenue; they are proof of our ability to deliver within Japanese business expectations. These projects will become part of our market presence through case studies, references, and examples of real outcomes. In a market where trust is built slowly and carefully, demonstrated experience matters more than marketing claims.
We are also strengthening our expansion through partnerships in Japan. These partners support us with research, localization, marketing, and client acquisition, allowing us to combine our delivery capability with local market expertise. This approach helps us grow faster while staying aligned with Japanese business culture and communication standards.
Japan is one of the world’s most advanced digital economies, yet many companies still struggle to find development partners who combine technical quality, cost efficiency, and strong communication. DoodlePress has already proven its ability to deliver for Japanese clients, and our expansion strategy is designed to bring that value to more companies in a consistent and scalable way.
This journey is not about entering Japan. It is about building a long-term presence, deepening relationships, and growing together with the Japanese market.
